Disney+ and National Geographic release on the 4th of December Megaestructuras: el Bernabéu del siglo XXI (Megastructures: The XXI century Bernabéu), a documentary that takes a journey, step by step, through the total construction and remodeling of the Real Madrid Stadium.
The new design features a cutting-edge metallic facade, a retractable roof, a 360 degrees video marker and a logistic ring. The big innovation of the new Bernabéu is the conservation of the game field underground to convert it into a multifunctional space. An architectonic and engineer landmark, with the added challenge that the team kept playing in their field while the works lasted. Throughout the 5 year period, this extraordinary construction project has been a challenge without precedents, that overcomes the limits of innovation and resistance.
