The Lives of Fèlix, the new original production from HBO Max in collaboration with Minoria Absoluta, premieres on the platform on November 24th.
Fèlix Colomer, the screenwriter and director of the documentary series, reconstructs the different stages of his life over seven episodes and the lessons derived from them. At the age of 29, he has lived countless lives. He has been a referee, worked in the adult film industry, formed a trap music band, was a childhood chess prodigy… And all these hobbies, jobs, and vital impulses he has experienced intensely have allowed him to draw conclusions and learn from it. His life recently changed; now, he is a father. This has made him question whether it’s worth it for his son to go through all these lives that he has lived. These first-person reflections make up The Lives of Fèlix, an emotional and humorous audiovisual letter to his son Riu.
The docu-soap is filmed in Catalan and Spanish and is part of the Catalan content offered by HBO Max. The platform already has a collection named “En Català”, which includes shows and movies with Catalan dubbing and subtitles, as well as original productions.
The Lives of Fèlix is the director’s second production to premiere on HBO Max. In his previous work from 2021, Fèlix also directed the documentary series Vitals. Una historia humana, where he crafted an intense, moving, and hopeful narrative of life in a hospital in Barcelona during the most challenging moments of the Covid-19 pandemic.
