Xavi Bundó makes his television debut with L’any que vas néixer (The Year You Were Born)

L’any que vas néixer (The Year You Were Born), the new programme premiering on 14 October on 2Cat and RTVE Play Catalunya,  offers a journey through time like never before. Each 50-minute episode brings together two well-known figures born in the same year to discuss their childhood and youth. The intimate, nostalgia-filled conversations are complemented by exceptional audiovisual material: images from NO-DO. Gemma Nierga, José Corbacho, Pilar Eyre, Mònica Terribes, La Maña, Santi Balmes and Antoni Bassas are some of the guests who will appear on L’any que vas nèixer.

Journalist Xavi Bundó presents a television programme for the first time with an innovative format that combines entertainment, memory and humour. Bundó says that the experience has been a real privilege and highlights that the format has interesting content with fantastic guests.

Complementing the conversation, the NO-DO archives open a direct window to the past and allow guests—and viewers—to discover what was being explained when they were children. The combination of personal memories and historical documents offers a unique perspective that blends intimate experiences with the official account of an era.

Each episode invites the audience to be moved by the protagonists’ memories and, at the same time, to be surprised by little-known historical documents. The official NO-DO account sometimes clashes with the guests’ personal and intimate experiences, but it also moves and surprises them. L’any que vas nèixer gives us unique moments full of nostalgia.
